Exmouth Museum celebrates 25 years
We show our history from the renovation of a semi derelict building to the Accredited Museum we are today.

The Museum reflects Exmouth's rich social history and includes:

Devastation came to the ‘Colony' area of Exmouth twice within a week.


This coloured glass window from The Ship Inn was given to the museum on the refurbishment and renaming of the pub.
There has been a ferry across the Exe from Exmouth to Starcross for over a thousand years. Over the years the departure points have been resited as the course of the estuary has changed. Here we show the models of the Diesel Comet and Starcross.
This Sampler was was given to Kate by her Grandfather Grigg when she was a few hours old. It was worked by Kate's Great grandmother as an eleven year old child in1817
The engine provided electrical power for the Exmouth Sanitary Steam Laundry situated in New North Road. It was later known as the Exmouth Model Laundry which was eventually burnt down.
HMS Exmouth - there were four ships of this name. The navigation lights and name board come from the second battle-ship, launched 1901, laid up 1917.
