The medical display will be returned in place of the Darwin Display.

Dentistry equipment, all kinds of strange tools to rid yourself of all kinds of ills etc. Oh Lovely!

The following quote from The Tyrell Hospital 1864 – 1992 book made us laugh;

“Contributions of old linen, Brandy, Wine, Tea etc., are very acceptable and will be received at the Hospital…”

Perhaps I should change that to ‘at the Museum!!!”

Ilfracombe Museum has just been officially Accredited by the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA).

It is a great achievement and demonstrates that the Museum has met nationally agreed standards on how it is run, how it cares for and documents its collections, and the services it provides for its visitors.

We are obviously delighted with this outcome.
