bengal tiger RAMM -Exeter's Royal Albert Memorial Museum

The wonderful Victorian museum building on Queen Street is closed until 2011 for a multimillion pound programme of modernisation and transformation.

While RAMM's splendid building is closed for redevelopment the museum is taking its wide-ranging programme of exhibitions and activities out and about in Exeter and Devon.  Its popular programme of family holiday activities are held in a variety of city venues including St Nicholas Priory and Exeter Cathedral's Chapter House.

RAMM’s Development Project aims to deliver a dynamic 21st-century museum, which interprets the past, enriches the present and responds to the future.  The development aims to improve the quality of the visitor experience for everyone; to reinterpret the collections, to improve access and understanding; and to encourage learning and enjoyment at all levels.
