This year’s Christmas social evening in the South Devon Railway Trust Museum’s popular series of events is on Thursday 27 November 2014, in the Refreshment Rooms at Buckfastleigh station. In what promises to be an entertaining evening, John Brodribb will present his Cracking Christmas Quiz – a testing treat of train and transport trivia. There will be a variety of railway photos, both on and off the South Devon Railway, to help matters along.
You don’t need a detailed knowledge of railways to take part, and there will be something for everyone. There will certainly be prizes for the winning teams!
There is no charge for entry to the meeting, and no need to book in advance. Entry to the quiz will be £1 per person, with the proceeds going towards the SDRT Museum. The Refreshment Rooms will be serving a selection of hot and cold drinks and snacks, including the cakes for which they are famous.
Doors will open at 7.00pm, with the quiz kicking off at 7.30pm. Everyone is welcome.
