Bampton Heritage and Visitor Centre

Bampton Heritage and Visitor Centre is located inside the town's Grade 1 listed St Michael and All Angels church. It also acts as a Tourist Information Service.

Displays include local history boards, artefacts, photographs and an 8 foot railway station model. Watch fascinating short films about the old Bampton Railway, the Charter Fair, Bampton School during WW2 and listen to residents memories. Children's activities include a quiz, an educational computer game and a family trail. An internet connected computer is available. Monthly Bampton town trails or for groups by arrangement. Genealogy facility available, with expert help. Local cards, gifts, Bampton mugs and bags, maps for sale.

Open: Wednesday to Saturday, 11am to 3pm. Winter Hours: October to Easter - Thursday - Saturday, 11am to 3pm.
Entry free - donations welcome!
