Biographer Marion Lindsey-Noble will give an insight into the life and work of East Devon author R.F. Delderfield as the final subject in Fairlynch Museum's series of Winter Talks at Budleigh's Peter Hall.

The Delderfield family came originally from London to settle in Exmouth but both Ronald Delderfield and his brother Eric are known for their books which show a deep affection for this area.

Ronald's many books include A Horseman Riding By. Born in 1912, he lived and worked as a journalist on the Exmouth Chronicle, later moving with his family to various houses in the Budleigh area before settling in Sidmouth, where he died in 1972.

Marion Lindsey-Noble's biography of Delderfield Butterfly Moments was published in 2007 and shortlisted for the Biographers' Club Competition in London.

As previously mentioned at http://www.devonmuseums.net/Delderfield-Days/Latest-News/Fairlynch-Museum/Museum-News/ her novel The Green Sari was published last October.

The talk 'R.F. Delderfield' will take place in the Peter Hall, next to St Peter's Church in Budleigh Salterton on Monday 12 March 2012 at 7.30 pm. Doors open and refreshments from 7.00 pm. Admission £2 (£3 for non-members).
