Registration for next year’s Plymouth History Festival is now open to all local event providers.
The annual celebration of the city’s heritage will run from Friday 1 to Sunday 31 May 2015.
Since it was launched in 2012, two successful festivals have taken place, offering more than 250 events that have been enjoyed by thousands of people.
The festival programme includes exhibitions and displays, guided walks and talks, behind-the- scenes tours, special events and family activities.
Venues range from church halls and guildhalls to country houses and historic properties, from museums and galleries to archives and libraries.
Councillor Peter Smith, Deputy Leader of Plymouth City Council said: “The Plymouth History Festival is a real asset to the city’s events calendar and gives residents and visitors alike a great insight into so many different aspects of our local heritage.
“I’ve been really proud of how many organisations and event partners have got on board since we introduced it and their input enables us to pull a really interesting programme together. I hope as many people as possible will choose to get involved with next year’s festival so it can continue to go from strength to strength.”
There is no specific theme for next year’s festival but all events must have a connection to Plymouth.
If you have an event you would like to see included on the programme email timothy.mills@plymouth.gov.uk or fill out the online form at www.plymhistoryfest.wordpress.com/phf2015 by Wednesday 24 December.
