Fishtival brings together newly collected stories, oral histories and objects to tell the story of the fishing heritage in North Devon. With artwork from local schools in collaboration with ArtTree. This exhibition is part of the popular community project 'Fishing for History' funded in partnership with FLAG.

To open our Fishtival exhibition on Saturday 18th July 2015 you are invited to Fish Tales a performance celebrating Salmon Netters of the Taw and Torridge with Stories, Shanties and Songs presented by Bideford Learning Community.

This FREE event will take place at 2pm at the Museum and will be performed by pupils from Appledore Primary, Bideford College, Hartland Primary, Instow Community Primary, Pynes Community School, St George's Northam, St Helen's Abbotsham, St Mary's Bideford, St Margaret's Northam and Woolsery Primary.

So do come along to watch the performance and see the exhibition.

Fishtival runs until the 12th September 2015.
