Come and discover the effects of WWI on the people of North Devon with memories and anecdotes.

2014 marks the 100th Anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War.  This display is the first of a series of exhibitions to commemorate the events of 1914 to 1918 and remember the contribution made by the people of North devon.  More than 11,000 Devon men and women died during the war.

In this, the first exhibition, we have gathered together items from our collections and those brought in by members of the public.  As the only Military Museum in Devon and as custodians of the Royal Devon Yeomanry Museum collections, we are focusing primarily on the stories of individual soldiers.

Information from Brian Barrow's 'Soldiers of the Great War' project is also being shown.

'Not Forgotten' is part of the Devon Remembers project and this exhibition has been extended and will now run until the 5th July 2014.
