Tea party with the Mayor for creative competitors!

The museum held a tea party, attended by The Mayor of Newton Abbot, Mike Hocking, for all those who had entered the museum's WWI creative writing and art competitions.

The children and their parents were able to see the all the winning, and highly commended, entries that were entered in the competition on display in the Council Chamber.  The press attended and there were just enough cakes and sandwiches to satisfy all!

Tickets are still available from the Town hall  for the evening eveny.

Those attending will have the chance to see Adrienne Howell's poppy banner, as seen on the local media, and her collection of 1914-18 sweetheart cushions as well as the Museum's WWI travelling exhibition - Come and join in!
