Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery is HQ of the Plymouth Museums & Heritage Service, which comprises 5 sites and collections in 2 other affiliated properties. Collections cover fine and decorative art, human history and natural history. The different disciplines are reflected in rotating displays from the collections and complementary exhibitions. Visiting exhibitions also form part of the Museum's programme whilst its Learning Team delivers a comprehensive service to schools and the community through its education and outreach work. The exhibitions programme is supplemented by a range of activities and events including holiday and half-term workshops for families and children, a free talks programme on selected Tuesdays throughout the year and specially organised activity sessions.
