Mosaic making is an enduring art form, originating in Mesopotamia in the 3rd millennium BCE and persisting to modern times. Used extensively on religious buildings throughout history, it is now practiced by professional artists and enjoyed as a popular craft.

Draw inspiration from RAMM’s collection of Roman mosaics or visit our Elaine Goodwin exhibition before the workshop, mimic the artist’s own designs or create your own pattern from scratch.

All materials provided. You will create your own piece of artwork to take home with you.

A minimum number of bookings are required for the workshop to run.

Tickets are available online or from the Royal Albert Memorial Museum reception in person or by phone using a credit or debit card on 01392 265858 during opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm.
