Join our Assistant Curator, Tom Cadbury for a fascinating illustrated talk about one of our latest acquisitions – the Dawlish Hoard. Tom will discuss what is included within this unique hoard of metal, buried during the Bronze Age and discovered in 2017. Why was it buried in the way it was? Why are the pieces broken or bent? Were they simply scrap or buried for a far more important reason? Links will also be made to other interesting Bronze Age hoards and metalwork that have come into RAMM over the past 10 years.
