Services
Until the end of October, Guided Town Strolls will depart from the Museum at 11.00am every Tuesday (Western Town) and Thursday (Eastern Town). Strolls take about 2 hours. On most Wednesdays at 2.00pm, there is a World Heritage Coast introductory talk and walk along the Esplanade, lasting about 1 hour 30 minutes. There is no charge for any of the walks, but donations are welcomed.
There is a dedicated area for Young Visitors with quizzes, activities and fossils & dinosaurs.
School visits and other special parties accommodated by arrangement.
A demonstration of Lace Making takes place at the museum on most Thursday afternoons.
The Museum Shop is open during the season. Local books, pictures, postcards and related gifts are available.
Facilities
A computer display is available for people unable to access the first floor display rooms. The World Heritage Coast is depicted in a screen display also on the ground floor.
The Museum is located at the top of Church Street, next to the Parish Church, adjacent to the Triangle (the main bus stop in Sidmouth).
