Renaissance Conference organised by Newton Abbot Museum & the Devonshire Association.
The museum's first conference was held last Friday working in partnership with the Devonshire Association - around 60 people attended to hear 4 top speakers on wood carvers and carving in the SW during this period.
The day was rounded off with a visit to see the museum's magnificent 16th century and later,Sandford Orleigh carvings
A new publication written by Dr Nicholas Riall, 'Solving a Tudor Riddle' - The story of the Sandford Orleigh Carvings, was officially launched by the Mayor of Newton Abbot. It is now on sale in the museum for £5:00
