The South Devon Railway Museum is hosting another evening meeting in the café at Buckfastleigh station, for anyone interested in the history of the old Ashburton branch. Museum curator John Brodribb will present a talk on the branch before heritage days, illustrated with plenty of images from days gone by. There will be opportunities to ask questions, pass on information, and also to help identify some of the photographs from the museum’s rapidly growing collection.
Entry to the event is free, and drinks and light refreshments will be available at the usual rates. Doors open at 7.00pm, with the talk starting at 7.30pm. Anyone with an interest in the railway will be welcome.
