Visit Exmouth: An Exmouth Festival Visual Arts ,Commission for 2015
Thanks to the kind support of Arts Council England, Exmouth Festival have commissioned an artist to create a series of new railway posters, celebrating Exmouth’s heritage as a tourist destination and building on the legacy of the classic ‘age of steam’ railways posters.
Working with artistic partners Thelma Hulbert Gallery, Daisi and Exmouth Library we have commissioned an artist to create new posters that are inspired on and reflect upon the classic source material.
If you are travelling by rail in May you may see the posters in their natural habitat as with thanks to support from First Great Western and the Avocet Line Rail Users Groups we have placed the new posters at railway stations across the South of England.
Please visit Exmouth Library from May 22nd – May 29th for an exhibition exploring and celebrating these fantastic posters!
