The Museum of Barnstaple and North Devon is appealing for the public to come forward with stories and objects related to being "Hatched, Matched and Dispatched".
A new exhibition, which is being held this summer, aims to tell the history of local people through these important life stages. So we are asking people to loan the following items for display:
- Christening gowns
- Wedding dresses
- Gifts or keepsakes
- Photographs
- Newspaper articles
- Something old, new, borrowed or blue
We are also looking for people to volunteer to tell their own hatched, matched or dispatched stories to others as part of an oral history.
