National Trust property A la Ronde hosted a community volunteer event on Thursday 7 June as part of National Volunteers week.
Over 80 local volunteers were invited for an afternoon at A la Ronde as a thank you by the East Devon volunteer support agency (EDVSA).
Volunteers from community groups braved the weather to attend. Those visiting enjoyed a private view of the house and a tasty cream tea in the Mary-Jane tearooms.
Elizabeth Young from Age Concern says 'Just wanted to say a very big "THANK YOU" for the afternoon session at A la Ronde for Age Concern Volunteers. We had a great time - informative, delicious afternoon tea and an opportunity for us to get to know other volunteers who work different days to our own.Thank you. It was much appreciated by everyone.'
Other groups attending included volunteers from Nightstop, Sidmouth Help link and the Open Door centre........to name a few.
