Tiverton Museum of Mid Devon Life has been selected as one of the Winners in the Small Visitor Attraction category of this year’s South West Tourism Excellence Awards, as well as being selected as one of the region’s representatives in the national VisitEngland awards.
Tiverton Museum is up against Geevor Tin Mine, St Austell Brewery Visitor Centre, and National Trust Coleridge Cottage in the Small Visitor Attraction of the Year category. As one of the finalists, the museum is guaranteed to be awarded gold, silver, bronze or commended status.
Andrea Rowe, Chairman of Trustees of the museum commented ‘We are delighted that Tiverton's small Museum has again taken on the big boys in the tourism awards. We are in the Finals this year, against a world famous Cornish tin mine, a Brewery and a National Trust property. We work very hard to make the Museum family friendly and fun to visit.’
