Introduction
The theme of the museum is the social history of Lynton and the surrounding villages through the ages. The earliest display is of Neolithic and Bronze Age flint artefacts, and there are displays from the last century.
Natural History.
A collection of stuffed birds (including a Golden Eagle found storm-battered on Exmoor in 1920) and small mammals. These are housed in our "ghost room! Visit us to find out the story behind this!
Archeological.
A small but representative collection of flints and other artifacts (mostly Neolithic and Bronze age) from Exmoor.
Medical instruments.
A collection of surgical, dental and obstetric instruments used by Lynton doctors before the advent of the NHS.
Victorian dolls house.
A beautifully detailed and fully furnished Victorian Dolls' House.
Tool Room.
Tool Room - A collection of agricultural and mid-19th - mid 20th century carpenters tools. Cider Press, salting trough, and a display on Exmoor turf cutting. And lots more!

A fully furnished Victorian Dolls House and a varied collection of Maritime exhibits.
Rural Kitchen.
A traditional open fireplace complete with bread- oven and an array of pots, pans and fire-tending tools.
