The Museum was visited today by a party of very well behaved evacuees who had traveled all the way from Trinity School Teignmouth. They had made their own gas mask boxes to contain their lunch and spent the whole morning learning about life during World War II and chatted to former evacuees Mavis Stuckey and Olive Loram. Despite the inclement weather in the afternoon they enjoyed a short tour of Dawlish and visited some of the sights an evacuee would have been familiar with, even posting a postcard back home to tell of their woes.
