Seawall Finally Open ! - Dawlish Museum
By: Andrew Wright
Added: 14 August 2015
After a long 18 months of hard work by the Network Rail engineers the new seawall is finally open to the general public. With the new walkway raised to one long level people will be able to walk, or use mobility scooters etc , all the way from Dawlish to Dawlish Warren without having to negotiate those previous huge steps. This will also hopefully prevent another incident like that of the 'swinging railway line' of February ,2014 and ensure the safety of the houses behind the railway line from the raging sea.
