Tuesday the 18th July was the 200th anniversary of Jane Austen's death. To mark Jane Austen 200, the Museum will be exhibiting the finest surviving letter written by the author to her sister Cassandra. The letter will be on display in the Old Devon Farmhouse Gallery until Saturday 16th September to mark this anniversary. The original letter is rarely displayed and contains the first known reference to the novel Pride & Prejudice. Jane also grew up in a rectory farm very similar in layout to the Devon Farmhouse making this the perfect place to display and read this early letter.
