Do you have a journalistic mind? Are you a good listener? Interested in finding out about the people and history of North Devon?
The Museum of Barnstaple & North Devon is looking for volunteers to join its Oral History Team and take on one or a combination of roles including interviewers, technicians and oral history transcribers.
We are holding an Oral History Skills Training day at Combe Martin Museum on Tuesday 16th June 2015, from 10am to 5pm, which is FREE to attend with lunch provided.
Guest trainer Craig Fees, from the Oral History Society will be giving an introduction to What is Oral History, Getting Started, who to interview and question approaches, the dos and don'ts of interviewing, using recording equipment, transcription, copyright and archiving.
