Produced to accompany RAMM's Nomads exhibition, this book takes the reader on a journey from the earliest origins of architecture through to the highly sophisticated mobile structures of today. Structures that have evolved over thousands of years in some of the harshest environments on Earth.

The journey begins in central Africa, then travels to the Sahara Desert, Siberia and the Eurasian Steppe, before returning to the United Kingdom to look at a unique living nomadic tradition still weaving through our modern society.
