Textile Christmas Gift Boxes and Envelopes - The Burton at Bideford art gallery and museum

A mixed media and machine embroidery day. Participants will decorate fabric with painted Bondaweb, metallic foils, fancy threads, printing and stitch to make a fabric that will be used to make gift boxes and special envelopes for gifts in time for Christmas. These easy to make items will add sparkle and exclusivity to your gifts.
Participants will need to supply thier own sewing machine and have an embroidery or darning foot for it. A list of materials and equipment required will be supplied upon booking or is avaliable on the Burton's website and in addition participants will pay a small fee of £4 direct to the tutor on the day.
Rowena Light is an experienced textile artist who has exhibited internationally and leads workshops throughout Devon and Cornwall.
