The Ackland-Edwards Collection is part of the Burton's Permanent Collection. The Collection consists of watercolours, drawings and dioramas of local topographical or historical interest, produced by Judith Ackland and Mary Stella Edwards between 1913 and 1965. Stowford House on the Strand in Bideford was Judith Ackland's family home and it remained one of the places in which they lived and worked. They also spent many months at The Cabin in nearby Bucks Mills, which they sued as a studio. The Collection was presented to the Burton Art Gallery and Museum by Mary Stella Edwards.

This publication is exclusive to the Burton.
