The Box, Plymouth
Opens on 29 September 2020 Imagine a place where a life-sized mammoth rubs shoulders with the Mayflower, where nostalgic film archive footage is shown alongside cutting edge contemporary art and where you can have lunch under a giant ship’s figurehead. The Box is a museum, gallery and archive.
A café, bar and shop. A place to learn. A place to enjoy time with family and friends. A place to discover more about Plymouth and its place in the world. Discover highlights from the collections, from microscopic insects to sculptures the size of a car. You’ll find monumental ships’ figureheads, thousands of natural history specimens, important Bronze Age finds, beautiful paintings and much more.
