Join us for a fascinating new exhibition celebrating the life and career of wildlife filmmaker and photographer Andrew Cooper. Through a collection of photographs, film memorabilia, and personal stories, the exhibition explores Andrew's remarkable career and the adventures behind a lifetime spent documenting wildlife and wild places.

Alongside Andrew's work, visitors will have the opportunity to view a range of objects from the golden age of wildlife filmmaking, including an annotated script by Sir David Attenborough and other unique items that reveal the craft of bringing the natural world to the screen.

Discover how wildlife filmmaking has evolved over the decades and gain a unique insight into the dedication, patience, and passion required to create some of the world's most memorable natural history programmes.

Wildlife Photography Competition:

Three categories (Children (5-12), Teens (13-17) and Adults (18+)), judged by Andrew Cooper – esteemed local wildlife documentarian.

Email your entries to groups@newtonabbot-tc.gov.uk with the subject heading 'wildlife photography competition'. Don't forget to include your name and age in the email.

Ages of entrants taken into consideration.

Competition opens Saturday 1st August and closes Tuesday 1st September. Winner announcement on Saturday 5th September.

Winning photographs to be displayed in Newton’s Place, and £20 Austins voucher per winner.
