The Western Counties Heavy Horse Society Ltd are holding their Annual Working at Kingsdown Farm, Branscombe Cross, EX10 0PD on Sunday 19th August 2012. Gates open 10-30am and close at 5pm. 'From Plough to Loaf' will be demonstrated with horse drawn ploughing, rolling, harrowing and drilling. Corn will be cut with a binder drawn by three horses and bread will be baked on the field. The process will be explained by a commentator and the day is both entertaining and educational. Other Ring Events include an opportunity to 'Have a Go' with working horses and a children's competition. Adults £5, children and car parking free. Usual facilities, refreshments etc will be available.
