Now in its twelfth year this popular exhibition is a showcase for new work, in any media, by both novice and professional artists. 

For the 12^th North Devon Open Art Show we are also incorporating Showreal. This launched in June 2012 as a showcase for new film made in the region by talented filmmakers of any age, local business or organisation.

 The Museum has always welcomed submissions of digital art, Internet/networks and new media to the Open Art Show and in order to keep this annual event fresh and inviting we have decided to include the North Devon Showreal after its high standard of successful entries and the interest shown for filmmaking in northern Devon.

Ten artists were selected for this year's exhibition by representatives from North Devon Arts, North Devon Theatres Trust, Petroc College's School of Art and the Museum and the work is being displayed across two venues - the Museum and in the Gallery Café at the Queen's Theatre in Boutport Street, Barnstaple.
