Are you a newbie to The Box? 'Box Beginners’ is a new FREE tour for absolute beginners - locals who are new to our venue. This accessible 90-minute tour is an exciting front and back of house experience designed to give you a brilliant insight into everything we have to offer. This February, we're welcoming the good people of Eggbuckland and will be highlighting objects linked to your neighbourhood to help you feel at home.
A 'Box Beginners' tour will give you a peak at all the permanent galleries taking in Mildred the Mammoth, the extraordinary collection of Royal Naval ship's figureheads, information on to how to book an appointment in research room or the chance to find out if your street was bombed during the Second World War with our digital bomb map. We'll even grab a quick look at our Beryl Cook: Pride and Joy exhibition.
The tour is designed to help you get the most out of a trip to The Box and build the confidence to come back time and time again.
On the day, please arrive five minutes early and make your way to our Welcome Desk. Charlotte, our tour guide, will meet you there. You don’t need to bring anything with you, just your enthusiasm!
