Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends will be visiting the South Devon Railway over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend, 4-6 May. Thomas, his friends and The Fat Controller are back and welcome children of all ages at this great value event! For more details and to book tickets in advance, go to www.dayoutwiththomas.co.uk and follow the links to the South Devon Railway. [Event licensed by Gullane (Thomas) Ltd and © Gullane (Thomas) Ltd 2013].
The SDR Museum is playing its part in the event, and there will be all the usual attractions, plus face painters and the latest Thomas movies. Out on the platform at Buckfastleigh there will be interactive story telling with the Fat Controller and Thomas’s driver, together with the chance of a ride behind Thomas himself. The Imagination Station will be at Dartmoor Otters & Buckfast Butterflies – plenty of story telling, colouring and other activities. Meantime, there will be brake van rides with Toad at Totnes.
The all-day ticket includes all your rides with Thomas, all travel on the SDR for the day, entry to Dartmoor Otters & Buckfast Butterflies, Totnes Rare Breeds Farm and the SDR Museum. (You will need a ticket to access the museum for this event only). You are strongly recommended to buy tickets in advance, if at all possible, but you can also turn up on the day and get them at Totnes Littlehempston, Staverton and Buckfastleigh stations, as well as Dartmoor Otters & Buckfast Butterflies. Do come along and enjoy the fun!
