Fun digital animation workshop with artist James Hedge. Create drawings and collages from objects in RAMM's World Cultures collection, and use animation to capture your drawings to create short animated loops.

Animated loops will be made up of 6 to 12 separate sheets/exposures and there will be plenty of drawing/collaging materials available to get creative. Your final animation will then be posted to vimeo to download.

Suitable for 8-12 year-olds. Please bring a smartphone or tablet to this workshop that can connect to wifi.

About the artist - James Hedge (www.jameshedge.com) is a Visuals Artist working in the South West. He is primarily interested is in the process of observational draw/painting. James sees Stop-motion Animation as being a really good bridge between the physical activity, of looking and making, and our digital culture.
