Join us for our first set of interactive workshops on medical history and heritage! Book a ticket here: www.demht.org/events

Each session consists of a forty-minute talk and twenty minutes for questions, with time after in the Priory’s Great Hall for refreshments, further discussions and to explore our exhibition and handling session. We will have some medical items from our collection on display for you to interact with!

All are welcome to come and listen and to take part in discussion, whether already with a general interest in the topic or new to enquire and contribute.

These sessions are being held at St Nicholas Priory: www.nicholaspriory.com. The Priory was founded in 1087 by William the conqueror as a Benedictine monastery. The Priory is situated in Mint Lane, off Fore Street, EX4 3BL, where the Exeter collection of medical and surgical instruments, in excess of twelve thousand items, is currently housed; the items are exhibited in rotation.

Unfortunately, the Meeting Room is inaccessible to wheelchair users. The room is on the second floor of an ancient and listed building; there are no elevators. There are handrails or other supports the entire way up the stairs. We are hoping to record talks in the future and make them accessible online.
