Make a pot inspired by the historic people of Devon.
From the occupants of Roman Exeter to the shepherds of Dartmoor or Elizabethan traders, everybody in Exeter would have used some pots made from local clay. The colour, texture and smell of that clay can tell us about ancient peoples' movements, trade and even eating habits.
Come and learn about the history of Exeter that has been revealed through the study of ancient pottery as part of the 'Exeter: A Place in Time Project.' Get hands on with different types of clay, look, feel and smell how different they are, then make your own pot to take home with you.
