Susan Derges is a Devon-based artist with a special interest in the ephemeral and changing nature of the rivers and water courses within Dartmoor. Her photographic prints created without the use of a camera are included in exhibitions and collections internationally

Focusing on the Rivers Taw and Bovey, she discusses early work inspired by the environments around and within the rivers, linking it with recent prints inspired by North Devon’s shorelines. This was shown at RAMM in 2019 in Sea Gardens, a celebration of a female-gendered relationship to the sea and of the museum’s own collection of pressed seaweeds.

‘Eden 6’, part-funded by Friends of RAMM, is on display in Funded with Thanks at RAMM from 8 February 2022.

This talk is taking place online. You will be emailed the Zoom details in advance of the event. Book your place here: RAMM Admit One
