Two of our Keyholders were telephoned at 5:30 on Saturday morning to be told that there had been an intruder at the Museum.
The intruder seemed to be looking for cash but we do not keep cash in the Museum overnight. But the man concerned had smashed our Front Door and broke open a Donations Box and stole a few pounds.
We need a new Front Door but fortunately there was no damage to our Exhibits.
The Police apprehended a man shortly after the incident - he was apparently 'high" on drugs and is well-known to the Police.
