Bluebird bags
In August the windows of the Totnes Museum of Fashion and Textiles showed an eye-catching display of bags made by Elizabeth Ogilvie. Passers by have been fascinated by contemporary bags of all shapes and sizes made from hessian and vinyl.
In her words, Elizabeth’s bags were either “upcycled” or “recycled” and she loves to use found materials and change their use to give them new life.
The vinyl is sourced from old “table protectors” and the hessian from coffee sacks, made in India, packed in Honduras and Nicaragua, imported to Cornwall and ending up in Totnes. What a journey!
Every bag is unique.
Elizabeth can make bespoke bags to order.
For more information or to place an order telephone Elizabeth on 01803 862053 0r email efogilvie@gmail.com
