Twenty six Italian students aged 17/18 and their teachers gathered at the Museum on Saturday morning for a brief look at the Museum and a walking tour of Exmouth led by our Curator.
The students only arrived in Exmouth the day before for a course at Mountlands Language School and the tour was designed to introduce them to the town and its attractions as well as giving a brief history of the town's development.
The tour ended in the Manor Gardens where the students were intrigued by the Danger of Death notices on the entrance to the cellars under the road. The explanation? Alan explained that the cellars now house an electricity sub-station and the signs were put there by Western Power!
