Diamond Jubilee Celebrations in Newton Abbot!
1st July 2012
Cllr Anne Fry, the Mayor of Newton Abbot, officially opened the museum's Jubilee exhibition on the 1st July. The display can be viewed in the Town Hall Council Chamber, which is adjacent to the museum. Pictured with the Mayor is John Greenwood who has loaned items for the display. John worked as a postilion for Buckingham Palace as a young man.
The Council Chamber is used for many meetings during the day and evening, and it is advisable to check that the display can be viewed before you visit the exhibition, to avoid any disappointment. Call Jo Wright on 01626-201120 for the Jubilee Exhibition.
