Fund Raising Talk given by Andrew Cooper
in Old Forde House.
A very succesful fund- raising evening was arranged by Museum volunteer Katy Bennie in November.
Andrew Cooper, an award-winning wildlife film-maker, broadcaster and writer, kindly agreed to support the museum by giving a talk, to a packed hall, on Dartmoor celebrating its people, places and wildlife.
Refreshments and conversation followed in the wonderful surroundings of old Forde House.
The money raised will go towards the museum oral archive project. Katy is in the process of collecting stories of the WWII in Newton Abbot. This project has also been supported by Newton Abbot Rotary Club.
Andrew
Cooper, who lives near Newton Abbot, is an award-winning wildlife film-maker,
broadcaster and writer. He is a familiar
face on BBC television through his documentaries and live reports.
