Luxon Family - Topsham Museum
Added: 14 December 2015
As part of our research for next year's exhibition on WW1 we came across an article in a local newspaper dated February 1915 showing photographs of six brothers from the Luxon family of Topsham:
Two brothers in the Royal Navy: Henry James Luxon, a blacksmith on HMS Foresight & Richard John Luxon, Petty Officer on HMS Marlborough
Four brothers in the Army: Sgt Edward Charles Luxon and Gunner Ernest Carter Luxon, both servingin India, Corpl. Oenisphorus Luxon and Pte. Wilfred Betram Luxon in the 7th Devons. Apart from the Sergeant, we have no idea which brother is which. Can anyone with Luxon family connections help us identify these brothers? Please get in touch!!
