Museum Accreditation - Allhallows Museum
Added: 11 October 2014
Allhallows Museum in Honiton has been officially awarded the status of Full Accreditation by Arts Council England .
The Museum Accreditation Scheme sets nationally agreed standards for all museums in the UK. Allhallows Museum’s award proves that it measures up, meeting the guidelines on how it is run, how it looks after its collections and the service it provides to its visitors.
Margaret Lewis on behalf of the Museum Trustees commented “ This really is an excellent achievement and something to celebrate. Many people do not realise that Allhallows Museum is run entirely by volunteers and this award endorses all of the hard work that they do. The Accreditation scheme sets a hallmark of quality for visitors and users of museum services in areas of care and documentation of collections, how they are governed and managed and on the information and services we offer to users. We hope that this recognition will generate opportunities that will allow us to continue to develop all of the services we provide“.
