Museum of British Surfing

Museum of British Surfing

The Museum of British Surfing is an award-winning visitor attraction in Braunton, near the North Devon coast. We are a registered charity set up to preserve surfing heritage, celebrate current achievements and help shape the future of surfing in Great Britain.

It is the first & only dedicated surf museum in Europe, and features major new exhibitions each year, exploring different themes in surfing culture - past, present & future. The perfect place to visit & soak up this unique culture whatever the weather with children's activities and lots of things to do and see for all the family. Our gift shop is free to enter, with a host of unique souvenirs and gifts to remember your visit.

Our 2020 exhibition is "How the Past Shaped Our Present" where we are celebrating the surfboard shapers who influenced the British surfing industry through the decades.

We also have the very popular "Collectors Corner" where we ask a private surfboard collector to display some of their own personal collection of vintage surfboards.
