Newton Abbot Museum officially open today!

'Service & Sacrifice' Exhibition 2014
The WWI exhibition was launched today at Newton Abbot Museum by Mayor of Newton Abbot Cllr Lousie Cooke, she introduced Anthony Graeme who spoke of his Aunt, Sister Violet Graeme's life as Sister of the VAD Hospital in Newton Abbot. Violet features on one of the panels of the WWI Travelling Exhibition, which is presently on display in the Passmore Edwards Centre.
Many descendents of the men and women featured in the both the museum WWI exhibtion and the Travelling Exhibtion were able to join us today. The Travelling Exhibtion will tour the town and will be on display at the PEC, with FREE admission, until the 22nd April. For more info. on its touring programme-do contact us on 01626-201121.
