Last weekend the Totnes Fashion and Textiles Museum held its spring party and private view for the opening of the new season’s exhibition at Bogan House in the High Street.
Val Oatley, who has worked as a volunteer at the museum for over 20 years, gave the welcoming speech to the Friends of the Museum.
Val also thanked Julia Fox, the curator, and the whole team of volunteers who keep the museum open. This year the ‘Friends’ said goodbye and thank you to Ann Rutherford, who stepped down as the ‘Friends’ co-ordinator. They welcomed Leonora Fox-Bharry, who will take her place.
The Fashion and Textiles Museum is now open at Bogan House for the summer season from Tuesdays to Fridays, 11.00 – 5.00, until the end of September.
The exhibition is not to be missed! Guided tours at other times are possible by arrangement with the curator on
