Repairs to the Museum - Topsham Museum
Added: 01 March 2025
- The oldest part of 25 Strand, the Merchant’s House, has been found to have substantial structural defects requiring extensive repairs to roof trusses, floor joists, lintels, windows and shutters. Some repairs to windows are also needed in the Victorian Sail Loft. Once they have been completed, the house will be re-rendered and repainted. While repairs are ongoing the Museum cannot open to the public. You can download the detailed planning statement which explains the problems and their repairs. All other documents relating to the application for listed building consent are available through the Exeter City Council planning website.
- More information will be posted here whenever we have news on progress.
