Where: Royal Albert Memorial Museum Courtyard
Time: 11:00 - 4:00

Are you handy with a needle? Mark Refugee Week by following that ancient tradition of stitching alongside a friend or stranger. See a quilt made by asylum seekers in temporary accommodation – on display for the day – in collaboration with Refugee Support Devon. Read the stories behind the stitches, and sew a drawstring bag for our 2025-27 Make project. We’ll use the bags to gift craft materials and games to new Exeter residents from abroad and young people with wellbeing needs.
This activity is suitable for adults and young people 11+. Materials and instructions provided.
Have you got any spare fabric at home? Bring along donations of clean cotton – freshly washed at 40 degrees C – to use in RAMM’s community projects.
